Start SOS deliberately
An accepted SOS starts a real emergency. Standard in-app SOS controls and the home-screen widget are not available; Full Test is not an emergency trigger.

Send an early alert
Alera attempts an alert with useful available location. Sending does not wait for a complete audio recording.

Continue sharing
Useful location updates and optional audio can follow. Audio is encrypted locally and may be sent through Gmail when authorized and connected.

End with confirmation
Choose “I’m safe”, “False alarm” or “End emergency”, then authenticate and check that the end was accepted. A status update may follow; earlier alerts and evidence are not erased.
Alerts go to people you select. Alera does not automatically dispatch police, ambulances or rescue services.

Text messages
SMS
A compact emergency alert can include the time, status and useful location coordinates. Important changes may prompt further messages.
Needs Android permission and a usable SIM and cellular route. Critical SMS is in English, even with an Arabic interface. One part is preferred, occasionally two; carrier charges may apply per part.
Email and audio
Gmail
Email can include your emergency name, location with a map link, status and playable audio attachments, sent from the Google account you authorize.
Needs internet and valid Gmail authorization. When sending is unavailable, saved evidence may stay on your phone for later attempts. Gmail accepting a message does not prove that it reached a recipient or was read.
Your data
You choose the sender and recipients.
Alera requests Gmail’s send-only permission (gmail.send) for emergency and test email. It does not request permission to read your mailbox.
There is no Rewe Labs emergency-data server. Your carrier, Google/Gmail and chosen recipients process information you send. Local encryption does not make SMS or email attachments end-to-end encrypted.
SMS does not need internet, but it still needs permission, a usable SIM and cellular service. Gmail needs connectivity and authorization. Unavailable internet does not automatically disable the independent SMS path.
Is the microphone always recording?
No. Audio is used only during an authorized emergency or a test you explicitly start. If enabled, emergency audio may continue in the background without a fixed elapsed-time cutoff. Android privacy controls, other microphone use and security, storage or resource conditions can interrupt it.
What happens after the phone restarts?
When Android and permissions allow, Alera may restore location-only operation for the same ongoing emergency. Android 10 and later need a separate background-location grant for that automatic path. The microphone does not restart automatically; restoring it requires an eligible visible user interaction.
What does Full Test check?
After your explicit confirmation, Full Test sends clearly labelled test SMS and Gmail messages to enabled recipients and checks location, microphone and encrypted storage. Carrier charges may apply. A successful test does not prove that someone read the messages or guarantee a later emergency result.

يبدأ طلب الاستغاثة المقبول طوارئ حقيقية. وسائل الاستغاثة المعتادة داخل التطبيق وأداة الشاشة الرئيسية غير متاحة؛ والاختبار الكامل ليس وسيلة لبدء الطوارئ.

تُوجَّه التنبيهات إلى أشخاص تختارهم. لا يستدعي تطبيق أليرا الشرطة أو الإسعاف أو خدمات الإنقاذ تلقائياً.

التنبيهات النصية
الرسائل النصية
قد يتضمن تنبيه الطوارئ الموجز الوقت والحالة وإحداثيات موقع مفيد. وقد تُرسل رسائل إضافية عند حدوث تغييرات مهمة.
تحتاج إلى إذن أندرويد وشريحة ومسار إرسال صالحين عبر شبكة الاتصالات. رسائل الطوارئ الأساسية بالإنكليزية حتى مع واجهة عربية. يُفضَّل جزء واحد وقد يلزم جزآن أحياناً؛ وقد تفرض شركة الاتصالات رسوماً لكل جزء.
البريد والأدلة الصوتية
جيميل
قد يتضمن البريد اسم الطوارئ والموقع مع رابط خريطة والحالة ومرفقات صوتية قابلة للتشغيل، ويُرسل من حساب غوغل الذي تفوّضه.
يحتاج إلى الإنترنت وتفويض صالح لجيميل. وعند تعذّر الإرسال، قد تبقى الأدلة المحفوظة على الهاتف لمحاولات إرسال لاحقة. قبول جيميل للرسالة لا يثبت وصولها إلى المستلم أو قراءتها.
بياناتك
أنت تختار المُرسِل والمستلمين.
يطلب تطبيق أليرا إذن الإرسال فقط من جيميل (gmail.send) لبريد الطوارئ والاختبار، ولا يطلب إذناً لقراءة صندوق بريدك.
لا يوجد خادم لبيانات الطوارئ يديره Rewe Labs. تعالج شركة الاتصالات وغوغل وجيميل والمستلمون المختارون المعلومات التي ترسلها. ولا يجعل التشفير المحلي الرسائل النصية أو مرفقات البريد مشفّرة من طرف إلى طرف.
لا تحتاج الرسائل النصية إلى الإنترنت، لكنها تتطلب الإذن وشريحة صالحة وتغطية اتصالات. أما جيميل فيحتاج إلى الاتصال والتفويض. لا يوقف غياب الإنترنت مسار الرسائل النصية المستقل تلقائياً.
هل يسجّل الميكروفون طوال الوقت؟
لا. يُستخدم الصوت أثناء طوارئ مأذون بها أو اختبار تبدأه صراحةً فقط. وعند تفعيله، قد يستمر صوت الطوارئ في الخلفية دون حد زمني ثابت. وقد تقطعه ضوابط خصوصية أندرويد أو استخدام آخر للميكروفون أو ظروف الأمان والتخزين والموارد.
ماذا يحدث بعد إعادة تشغيل الهاتف؟
عندما يسمح أندرويد والأذونات بذلك، قد يستعيد تطبيق أليرا عمل الموقع فقط للطوارئ نفسها التي لا تزال جارية. يتطلب هذا المسار التلقائي إذناً منفصلاً للموقع في الخلفية على أندرويد ١٠ والأحدث. لا يُعاد تشغيل الميكروفون تلقائياً؛ إذ تتطلب استعادته تفاعلاً مرئياً مؤهلاً من المستخدم.
ما الذي يفحصه الاختبار الكامل؟
بعد تأكيدك الصريح، يرسل الاختبار الكامل رسائل نصية وبريداً عبر جيميل معلَّمين بوضوح كاختبار إلى المستلمين المفعّلين، ويفحص الموقع والميكروفون والتخزين المشفّر. قد تُفرض رسوم اتصالات. لا يثبت نجاح الاختبار أن أحداً قرأ الرسائل، ولا يضمن نتيجة طوارئ لاحقة.
